Last Small Group of the Year


Some prep photos for the last small group of the year. We are going to try white asparagus; It’s called Spargel in German!

    We tried white asparagus once! Hope it turned out better for you guys…ours was super tough and not flavorful. I’m sure we did something wrong, since we are definitely not expert chefs. ๐Ÿ™‚

      The white asparagus here is a big deal. If it has any purple, it loses value. Oh, and I don’t eat it ๐Ÿ™‚ Asparagus texture feels weird to me.

      You have to peel it first because the outside is woody. I baked mine with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper, then topped it with some Parmesan when it was finished. It was pretty good, though I tried to eat the leftovers today and they were disgusting.
