Welcome to the New Year 2013

Comments Off on Welcome to the New Year 2013

Welcome new year. The Mayans were wrong. The soothsayers were all mistaken. The world didn’t end. Photobombing made it to the online Oxford dictionary. A university decided YOLO should be banned. And 3D printing is a real thing; insert Yoda.

It has been an amazing past year incredibly full of love, sadness, fear, hope, and students. It seems like the past semester has been an entire year just on it’s own. I really feel like this last six months have been full enough to be a years worth of emotions. We were in the states this past summer; God blessed us with the support we needed to come back to Germany; new friends have been made both with peers and many new students; and my and Dani’s relationship has grown in many new and overwhelming ways. God has blessed us so much, and I am thankful many times over for being able to be a part.

In the beginning the Word already existed.

The Word was with God,

and the Word was God.

He existed in the beginning with God.

God created everything through him,

and nothing was created except through him.

The Word gave life to everything that was created,

and his life brought light to everyone.

The light shines in the darkness,

and the darkness can never extinguish it.

Our lives here are full. I hope that your new year comes with a renewed hope and peace amongst your full lives. For us there is a new semester coming up, mission trips to plan, designs to create, students to love, websites to run. Do it all for his Glory, and in his name. His kingdom come, and his will be done. May this earth be more like the one that is to come.
